FAQ's

Do you accept insurance?

Endurance Ally Physical Therapy is a cash-based practice, meaning we do not bill insurance companies directly.

Instead, you pay for your appointment at the time of service. This allows us to spend the full session focused on you, rather than working around insurance restrictions, visit limits, or treatment requirements.

Depending on your insurance plan, you may still be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement.

Can I use my HSA or FSA card?

Yes! Physical therapy is generally an eligible expense for Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).

If you have an HSA or FSA debit card, you can typically use it to pay for qualifying physical therapy services. Eligibility can vary depending on your plan and the service provided.

We can also provide an itemized receipt if you need to submit your expenses for reimbursement.

Can I submit my visits to insurance for reimbursement? What is a superbill?

Possibly. Although we don't bill insurance directly, some plans offer out-of-network benefits that may reimburse you for a portion of your physical therapy expenses.

We can provide a superbill upon request. This is a detailed receipt that includes your diagnosis, treatment codes, dates of service, and payment information. You can submit it to your insurance company to request reimbursement.

We recommend calling the number on the back of your insurance card and asking:

  • Does my plan cover out-of-network physical therapy?

  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible?

  • What percentage of the cost might be reimbursed?

  • Do I need a referral or prior authorization?

  • How do I submit a superbill?

Reimbursement depends on your individual insurance plan and is not guaranteed.

Why choose cash-based physical therapy?

We believe physical therapy should be built around your goals, not your insurance plan.

Our model allows us to offer:

  • 60-minute, one-on-one appointments with a Doctor of Physical Therapy

  • Individualized treatment plans based on your goals, training, and lifestyle

  • More time for education and exercise, so you understand what you're working on and why

  • Flexible treatment approaches that aren't dictated by insurance billing requirements

  • A focus on long-term performance, not just getting you out of pain

Whether you're dealing with an injury or simply want to become a stronger, more resilient athlete, we're here to help.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

In South Carolina, patients can generally begin physical therapy without a physician referral, subject to state direct-access requirements.

Some insurance plans may still require a referral for out-of-network reimbursement. Certain conditions may also require medical consultation or referral.

If you're unsure whether you need one, feel free to reach out before scheduling.

Can I come to physical therapy even if I'm not injured?

Absolutely! Physical therapy isn't just for recovering from injuries. I also work with runners, cyclists, triathletes, and active adults who want to improve their strength, movement, and performance.

Services may include running gait analysis, strength testing, training guidance, and individualized exercise programming.

Keep in mind that performance and wellness services may not qualify for insurance reimbursement or HSA/FSA payment unless they meet applicable medical eligibility requirements.
